Hello Panthers! My name is Kayla Warren and it is my pleasure to serves as an Assistant Principal (Intern) at Westwood Elementary School. With over 8 years in the district and in education, I am a firm believer in a strong home-to-school connection. We can ensure every child's academic, social, and emotional needs are met by working together as a team. I have worked previously on both the Primary and Elementary campuses teaching Kindergarten, 4th grade, and 3rd-6th grade computer. I adore all of my students, we may only have them for a short time but they become family during that time and all my students will forever have a special place in my heart.
I graduated from Westwood High School in 2005 and bleed orange! I received my Associate's Degree from TVCC, my Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from UT Tyler, and I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification through UT Tyler and will graduate in the Fall of 2020. I have received a very unique opportunity through a grant the district received to work in an internship as an assistant principal throughout the 2019-2020 school year under the direction of Mrs. Foreman and Mr. Satterwhite. This is going to be an awesome year and I am looking forward to working with each and every one of you. If there is anything that I can do for you please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail at or by calling the school at (903)729-1771 ext. 2412.
